The United States Embassy, Nigeria seeks to identify academically qualified and highly motivated, low-income students in Nigeria to join the EducationUSA Opportunity Funds Program (OFP). Requirements for EducationUSA Opportunity Funds Program Qualification
In our quest for exceptional candidates, we look for individuals with the following attributes:
- Strong academic record
- Active involvement in extracurricular activities
- Demonstrated leadership roles
- Outstanding community service participation
- Financial need

For Undergraduate Applicants:
- If WAEC results are unavailable, applicants must be currently in SS3. If available, WAEC results must be from May/June WAEC.
- Required Documents:
- SS1 & 2 end-of-year report (word or PDF files only)
- Mock WAEC result or WAEC result (word or PDF files only)
- Other supporting documentation (word or PDF files only)
For Graduate Applicants:
- Applicants must hold a relevant bachelor’s degree.
- Additional Requirements:
- Copy of university transcript (PDF files only)
- Copy of Statement of Result/Degree (PDF files)
- Detailed Academic Curriculum Vitae (PDF files only)
- Scanned copy of supplementary certificates of achievement (PDF files only)
- Copy of GRE result (Recommended for Engineering students) (PDF files only)
