About Education USA Opportunity Funds Program (OFP)

The United States Embassy, Nigeria seeks to identify academically qualified and highly motivated, low-income students in Nigeria to join the EducationUSA Opportunity Funds Program (OFP). EducationUSA is a U.S. Department of State network of over 430 international student advising centers in more than 175 countries and territories. Requirements for EducationUSA Opportunity Funds Program Qualification

For Undergraduate Applicants:

• If WAEC results are unavailable, applicants must be currently in SS3. If available, WAEC results must be from May/June WAEC.
• Required Documents:
  • SS1 & 2 end-of-year report (word or PDF files only)
  • Mock WAEC result or WAEC result (word or PDF files only)
  • Other supporting documentation (word or PDF files only)

For Graduate Applicants:

• Applicants must hold a relevant bachelor’s degree.
• Additional Requirements:
  • Copy of university transcript (PDF files only)
  • Copy of Statement of Result/Degree (PDF files)
  • Detailed Academic Curriculum Vitae (PDF files only)
  • Scanned copy of supplementary certificates of achievement (PDF files only)
  • Copy of GRE result (Recommended for Engineering students) (PDF files only)
