The Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) is a signature effort to invest in the next generation of African leaders. The need to invest in grooming strong, results-oriented leaders comes out of the statistics: nearly 1 in 3 Africans are between the ages of 10 and 24, and approximately 60% of Africa’s total population is below the age of 35. If you are selected to participate in the YALI West Africa Emerging Leaders Program, all of the following expenses will be covered by the program:
The Program will only cover your transportation costs to and from Ghana if you are residing within one of the countries served by the YALI Regional Leadership Center, West Africa – Accra. If you reside outside of the defined region, YALI will only pay the cost of transportation to/from Accra from your country of citizenship and you will be required to cover any additional costs
Competition for the YALI Regional Leadership Center West Africa is a merit-based and open to young West African leaders who meet the following criteria:
Selection for participation in the YALI Regional Leadership Center West Africa, Accra training programs is conducted as a merit-based, open competition. All eligible applications are reviewed by a selection panel and shortlisted. Shortlisted applicants are interviewed and a final selection is made.
