The Scholarship was established in 2005 and is funded by Riley Consultants Ltd, a New Zealand owned and operated, multi-disciplinary consultancy, providing a range of water, civil, geotechnical and environmental engineering services.
The main purpose of the Scholarship is to support the engineering profession by providing assistance to students undertaking a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) at Waipapa Taumata Rau, University of Auckland, with an interest in geotechnical, water resources or civil engineering.
Founded in 1883, Auckland is the country’s largest university with over 40,000 students, nearly 10,000 of whom graduate annually.

An $8,000 Scholarship for Parts II or III of a BE(Hons) in Civil Engineering, for a New Zealand Citizen or Permanent Resident.
