UNIFEMGA Scholarship Program for Undergraduate Students 2025

The Obafemi Awolowo University Graduates’ Association, (UNIFEMGA) Scholarship Fund is one of UNIFEMGA empowerment programmes for Muslim Students at the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife.

For more than a decade, UNIFEMGA has been providing scholarships to undergraduate and postgraduate students of Obafemi Awolowo University. The program has been instrumental in supporting academic excellence and fostering career growth among its beneficiaries.

About Obafemi Awolowo University Graduates Association(UNIFEMGA)

The UNIFEMGA scholarship program was established in 2008 by members of the Obafemi Awolowo University Muslim Graduates’ Association. It began with payment of school fees and grants to students, and later developed a formal scheme with long-term sponsorship to improve scholarship sustainability.

Aim and Benefits of UNIFEMGA Undergraduate Scholarship

The UNIFEMGA scholarship program offers financial assistance to undergraduate and postgraduate students. Merit and Honors scholarships are set at N100,000 per student. Postgraduate students are eligible for a scholarship of N150,000.

Requirements for UNIFEMGA Undergraduate Scholarship Qualification

•  The scholarship awards is open to only Muslim students across all department at Obafemi Awolowo university, Ile-Ife.
• Applicants should not be on any scholarship programme at the time of application.

Eligible groups

• Muslim student
• 200 level and above
• Current/Returning awardees

Minimum Academic Achievement

• For Merit Scholarship: 3.50 CGPA.
• For Honors Scholarship: 2.50 CGPA
• For Physically Challenged: 2.50 CGPA

Documents Required for Application

For Fresh Applicants

The documents required for fresh applicants are:
(i) WAEC/SSCE/NECO results used in gaining admission into the University.
(ii) JAMB results.
(iii) Admission letter into the University.
(iv) Latest Photograph.
(v) Latest transcript. (Required during Interview only)

For Returning Awardees

Returning Awardees do not need to upload any document in the online application. They are only required to present their transcript at the interview for evaluation.

Verification of information from students on academic performance is to be done in conjunction with the Department/Faculty of the students.

Similarly, there shall  be verification exercise in respect of the awardees to confirm that the awardees are duly registered and attending students of the Institution.
