The Technical Fellowships program and its French sub-program dedicated to promoting cancer control in Francophone Africa, Bourses pour l’Afrique Francophone are supported by a group of international cancer societies, organizations, and foundations. This call is specifically for cancer professionals from low and middle-income countries seeking to gain skills and knowledge on cancer control.
In 1933, cancer researchers recognised the need to share knowledge and expertise globally and so founded the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC). Duration of Technical fellowship – Maximum level of funding possible:
Ideally, Technical Fellowship candidates identify and make contact with potential host supervisors themselves. Host institutions do not need to be UICC member organizations, however, in cases where candidates are unable to find a host supervisor, UICC can liaise with UICC members such as HCG Hospitals (India), NCCK (S.Korea) and Icon Group who have expressed an interest in hosting UICC Fellows.
