Requirements for Fruit South Africa Internship Qualification

The incumbent must hold a BAgric or BSc degree in agricultural economics or in any field of study related to
the fruit industry value chain

Responsibilities:

• Providing general support to the Industry Affairs Manager and the CEO and standing in for the Executive Office Administrator when required.
• Conducting research on the latest industry trends and providing relevant analyses.
• Compiling and/or updating the industry statistics booklet that contains current industry information for all relevant stakeholders.
• Representing the organisation at industry events and drafting reports that detail those events.
• Communication with stakeholders and management of the Citrus Industry Trust-related matters.
  Requirements:
• Computer literacy
• A good understanding of:
  o the agriculture and fruit industry value chains, and supply chains
  o international and local markets
  o the agriculture industry of South Africa
• The ability to work independently, within a team
• Excellent communication (verbal and written) and public speaking skills
• Good time management skills
• Good organisational and planning skills
• A problem solver
• Numerical aptitude
• Report writing skills
• Able to work under pressure
