The African Union MSME Forum is the continent’s largest gathering of micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises.
This year, the forum launches its inaugural cohort fellowship, which will empower innovative small businesses with access to funding Opportunities, Mentorship, and market opportunities, among many others in a strategic approach.
The MSME Forum has three-facet objectives, namely:
- Enhance the capacity of MSMEs through training sessions on various topics offered by training partners;
- Establish a platform for policymakers and the private sector to interact, share knowledge, and formulate innovative proposals to bridge the financial gap for MSMEs and start-ups in Africa; and
- Facilitate regional and continental collaboration between private and public sector institutions, and financial entities, including local banks and multilateral development financial institutions, in supporting MSMEs.
About African Union
The African Union (AU) is a continental body consisting of the 55 member states that make up the countries of the African Continent. It was officially launched in 2002 as a successor to the Organisation of African Unity (OAU, 1963-1999). - Open to registered MSME operating in Africa. Minimum of 2 years in operation.
- Demonstrated potential for growth & job creation.
