The African Union CIEFFA and ImpactHER are co-hosting the 2024 African Union Capacity Building Training to address challenges facing young women and men in Africa, particularly in the areas of STEAM, digital literacy, financial literacy, and entrepreneurship. About African Union

The African Union (AU) is a continental body consisting of the 55 member states that make up the countries of the African Continent. Online Capacity Building Training

Aim and Benefits of Online Capacity Building Training

• Gain knowledge in Gender Equality in and through Education, Digital Skills, Entrepreneurial Skills, and Financial Literacy.
• Earn certificates in Digital Skills, Entrepreneurial Skills, and Financial Literacy (participants need to attend at least 80% of the training courses per program to be eligible for certificates).
• Become part of the African Union CIEFFA network and ImpactHER network.
• Increase chances of being invited to fully-funded in-person activities by the African Union CIEFFA.
• Access to other fully-funded online training sponsored by ImpactHER.

Requirements for Online Capacity Building Training Qualification

• Be an African woman or man.
• Be able to demonstrate the motivation to learn about: digital skills, entrepreneurial skills and financial literacy.
• Be able to demonstrate leadership abilities, aspirations and a commitment to the promotion of girls and women's education.
• Have access to good internet connection and a device (laptop, computer, smartphone or tablet).
• Have a clear understanding of one of the training's languages; English, French or Portuguese.
• Hold an African citizenship residing on the continent or anywhere in the world.

Interview date, Process and Venue for Online Capacity Building Training

Selection is based on demonstrating motivation to learn, leadership abilities, aspirations, commitment to promoting girls and women’s education, and having the necessary technical requirements.

Training is conducted in batches, each lasting for one month starting from September 2024.
