Global Center on Adaptation (GCA) My Adaptation Solution Video Competition. The Youth Climate Adaptation Action Day, organized by the Global Center on Adaptation (GCA) on the 12th of October 2024, is the largest-running annual youth adaptation event taking place in over 100 countries around the world. This day is dedicated to mobilizing, showcasing, and celebrating the potential of young people to innovate and accelerate climate adaptation solutions. Youths across the world are invited to participate in this day of climate adaptation celebration

Aim and Benefits of GCA My Adaptation Solution Video Competition

The Youth Climate Adaptation Action Day will:

Drive knowledge sharing for youth-led adaptation actions in Africa and around the world.

Build the youth adaptation movement with schools, universities, and youth organizations.

Raise awareness and increase the knowledge of young people on climate adaptation.

Requirements for GCA My Adaptation Solution Video Competition Qualification

• Are you between 18-35 years old and leading the fight against climate change?
• Have you developed an innovative and creative adaptation solution?
• Share your adaptation solution with the world by entering your one-minute video in the My Climate Adaptation Solution Video Competition.

Interview date, Process and Venue for GCA My Adaptation Solution Video Competition

Selection Criteria

The winners will be announced on 11th October 2024 by the CEO of the Global Center on Adaptation. Public voting opens on the 30th of September and closes on the 7th of October.

Application Deadline

How to Apply

To enter, submit your video to the Google Drive using the following steps:

• Share the Video: Open the video file, click the three dots to the right and select ‘Share’. Copy the link and ensure that the access level is set to ‘Viewer’.
• Name your Submission: The video should be titled: Participant’s name_Title
• Access your Google Drive.
• Upload the Video File: Locate the ‘New’ button on the left side of the Google Drive. Select ‘file upload’ and click the video file you want to select.
• Monitor the Upload: Wait for the file to appear on the Google Drive.
