Since 2009, the Galien Foundation has been organising a Scientific Forum in the United States, alongside the Prix Galien International, which has been awarded for the past 50 years and is positioned as the Nobel Prize for pharmaceutical innovation. Its initiator, the late Elie Wiesel, Nobel Peace Prize winner, expressed the wish to see these events take place in Africa.
